On the 22nd of June 2018, FXB India Suraksha received an award at an event titled 'Coffee For Cause' organised by the media house, CauseBecause. The award is special to us because it is recognition of the fact that MUKTI programme, which aims to curb human trafficking and child sexual abuse in India, is on the right track. This programme has been felicitated as one of the Most Promising Projects of the development sector, much in need of the current times, besides contributing to SDG 16 – 'Peace, Justice and Institution-building'.
One of our key intervention strategies includes building capacities of our stakeholders working in the area of child protection. The Police department personnel with whom FXBIS works closely, as part of its 'Protection and Safety' domain, are among the prominent stakeholders, to enable a safe and secure environment for all citizens, especially the women and children.
Stepping forward with this vision, FXBIS was invited by the Chhattisgarh Police department to conduct sensitization workshops. Seen below is our Organization's programme's manager, Satya Prakash, taking sessions with the State's Child Welfare Officers and members of the Special Juvenile Police Unit for all districts. The participants were trained on the implementation of the Juvenile Justice Act and role of Police in curbing human trafficking in the state of Chhattisgarh.

For over a decade, FXBIS has been initiating programmes on issues around water - be it construction of soak pits around the bore wells, repair of hand pumps, revival of the defunct government schemes for piped water supply for rural village dwellers, or desilting of the 'daris' (natural springs), which are the traditional water sources in Jharkhand. FXBIS teams have also been intensively involved in the preparation of the village water security plans aswell as the capacity building of village-level institutions, such as the VWSC (Village Water & Sanitation Committee), to secure water for all in rural areas, uninterruptedly and indiscriminately without consideration of caste/ class.
In recognition of our work, FXBIS was awarded a 'certificate of merit' in the category "Most Impactful Leaders in Water & Water Management" at the World Water Leadership Congress, held in Mumbai on the 17th of February 2018. Seen below is FXBIS' Programmes' Manager, Mr. Kiran Kumar, who led the teams to work for and with the rural communities of Jharkhand.

The network aims to strengthen the capacity and opportunities for the selected leaders to be catalysts and play a major role in partnerships that address the systemic causes of poverty and promote sustainable social change.
FXB India Suraksha's CEO, Ms. Mamta Borgoyary was conferred the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) award for her insights and ground works on gender-based violence, spanning two decades.
The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs' premier professional exchange program. The IVLP builds mutual understanding between the U.S. and other nations through short-term visits to the U.S. for current and emerging foreign leaders.
FXB India Suraksha has entered into an MoU with the Madhya Pradesh Police and the MP Police Academy to conduct trainings for their forces on human trafficking (HT) and child protection, as also action research in the mentioned subjects. We have been conducting similar trainings for the police in the states of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Manipur since 2018, with support from the British High Commission.
With this signing, FXBIS also launches the 'Suraksha Sustainable Learning Programme' for law enforcement agencies and military, para-military forces in the second largest state of the country.
FXBIS anti-trafficking programme, "MUKTI (mn. liberation) wins an award for the second time in 'Peace, Justice & Institution Building' – goal 16 of the Sustainable Development Goals. Adjudged the best program for sustainable innovations in the social category, the award was conferred at the 7th North East Sustainable Development Award Summit, 2019. Programme MUKTI was spearheaded in 2015 in Manipur state, which is widely recognised among the most prominent source states for human, specially child trafficking in India.
In the period spanning almost 5 years, the programme has made innumerable rescues besides initiating adolescent clubs in more than 25 schools, community vigilant committees in 23 villages and conducted more than 150 sensitisation workshops with stakeholders such as the police, para-military, journalists, lawyers, church leaders, community heads, school teachers and taxi drivers - all of whom can prevent trafficking through their watchfulness and prudence. Our heartfelt gratitude to Ecpat Luxembourg for their unflinching support and collaboration for the programme's impact and recognition.
Based on the advisory from the NITI AAYOG to district authorities to appoint a mother NGO for coordinating all COVID-19 related relief work, the District Administration of Gautam Budh Nagar (Uttar Pradesh)nominated FXB India Suraksha as the nodal agency w.e.f 22nd April 2020.
FXBIS is grateful for this new role and very hopeful of working together with all CBOs, NGOs and CSOs under the aegis of the DistrictAdministration of GBNagar for relief work during the pandemic; and post pandemic for rebuilding the lives of those most severely impacted.
In December of 2018, FXB India Suraksha received the SABERA - Social and Business Enterprise Responsible Awards - for its innovation and establishment of 'Agricultural Resource Centres' in North-East India, particularly Assam and Meghalaya. Our model of agriculture resource centres (ARCs) has strengthened access to updated information and knowledge, and upgraded technology for farmers in the two districts of Kamrup and Darrang in rural Assam. The award has been conferred for our contribution to rural development, on the three-pronged criteria of impact, replicability and scalability.
